Wild Blueberry Porridge
Wild Blueberry Porridge is a sure way to start your day off right. Just remember, if you don’t the want the porridge to appear purple, do not mash the berries.
- 1/3 cup oatmeal
- 2/3 cup water
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/3 cup wild blueberries
- 1 tsp brown sugar topping
- 3 Tbsp 1% low-fat milk topping
Heat water and oatmeal and add pinch of salt in a sauce pan and cook until desired consistency.
Stir in blueberries and heat through.
Once the berries are heated through you can mash the berries and let the juice colour the porridge.
Serve topped with brown sugar, cinnamon and milk
