Weeds are the bane of every farmer and gardener. But what exactly is a weed? The dictionary defines the term weed as a plant that is not valued where it is growing and is usually of vigorous growth especially: one that tends to overgrow or choke out more desirable plants.
Of course, we are all familiar with plants such as dandelions and goldenrod. However, there are hundreds more weeds out there and many are unknown to those among us who are non-farmers or non-gardeners.
