Wild Blueberry Porridge

Wild Blueberry Porridge is a sure way to start your day off right. Just remember, if you don’t the want the porridge to appear purple, do not mash the berries.


  • 1/3 cup oatmeal
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1/3 cup wild blueberries
  • 1 tsp brown sugar topping
  • 3 Tbsp 1% low-fat milk topping


  • Heat water and oatmeal and add pinch of salt in a sauce pan and cook until desired consistency.
  • Stir in blueberries and heat through.
  • Once the berries are heated through you can mash the berries and let the juice colour the porridge.
  • Serve topped with brown sugar, cinnamon and milk
